The term "dieting" really refers to lowering body fat levels.
Therefore, whilst discussing reducing body fat, we will, for the sake of simplicity call it dieting, although we have made it quite clear on a number of occasions that the word "diet(ing)" does tend to give people a false impression of what it actually is we are trying to achieve.
The body lays down fat stores as a direct result of an imbalance in our energy input vs. energy output. In other words, we eat more than we need to, or we don't take enough exercise to use up the energy in the food eaten.
Therefore, the answer can be found in analysing out eating habits and life style. We know what to do - we just don’t always do what we know we should!
There are other factors that will have an influence such as thermogenisis - the speed at which our body's metabolism will use up stored energy. Our age and health status also affect us. But for the average healthy person, reducing body weight need not mean you have to go on a diet.
In fact you could end up eating more food (of the right type), and still reduce body weight/ fat!
It is well established that going on a calorie-restricted diet can result in short-term weight loss and longer-term weight gains. This means that a better approach to weight loss needs to be found. As mentioned earlier, the focus needs to be on life style and a reduction in the "over-eating syndrome".
Reducing over-eating is not dieting, it is a levelling of over- indulgence.
We don't always realise how much food we eat each day or indeed the calorific values of the foods eaten. Who hasn't seen a biscuit or chocolate bar and thought that "it's so small, it can't do much harm". However, one look at the fat/ sugar/ calorie content on the label will soon tell you otherwise!
Obviously, if you indulge yourself occasionally it won't hurt you, but the problem comes if you do it every day, or let's be honest, several times a day! This then adds up significantly over the course of each week until the weight creeps on without us noticing.
To overcome this weakness try to record the content of meals and snacks and also how often you eat them for a week or two - combine this with a note of the time and duration of exercise and then compare the two. It is alarming how much we eat compared to how little exercise we take!
Following on from this revelation, the strategy is to redress the imbalance, i.e to increase exercise and reduce the over-eating! The pounds will soon be falling off without dieting!

The Stay-Lean© 7-day super-fast weight loss and detox regime. A maximum of two pounds weight loss per week is advised, as prolonged rapid weight loss is unhealthy.
However, it is perfectly safe to kick-start your weight loss program with a regime that detoxifies (internal cleansing) and assists in 'dumping' weight in the first week or, depending on your personal circumstances, up to a maximum of ten days.
This cleansing regime results in weight loss mainly as a result of eating a lot of highly nutritious, low calorie foods that are high in antioxidants and cellulose, (edible fibre) and proteins.
During this period of cleansing and initial weight loss it is most important to drink plenty of fresh clean water. Bottled water is fine but not absolutely necessary, as tap water in most countries is safe. However, in certain countries where the water purification system is not yet fully developed and reliable it is advisable to only drink bottled water.
If you are living with a water retention condition please consult your doctor about the safe level of daily consumption. For most individuals, 8 pints (4.5 litres) per day is recommended.
The best way to succeed in any task is to make a plan and stick to it. To help you we have prepared this 7 day regime. It is important that you stick to the recommended foods and the meal types as they have been formulated to maximise cleansing and initial rapid weight loss.
Ideally, take 20 minutes brisk walking exercise in the morning before eating and again before eating meal three. Try to achieve this each day. Consult your doctor before embarking on any new or unfamiliar exercise routine.
Day One - Meal One (Breakfast): Take two Acceladrine© capsules before exercise and your first meal. Drink one pint of water soon after waking up.
Get a large water or honeydew type melon and eat a quarter of it. During the first four hours of your day, eat at least a further half of the melon at frequent intervals. Drink a further two pints during the following four hours at half of one pint at a time, at half hour intervals if possible / practical.
Day One - Meal Two (Lunch): Take two Acceladrine© capsules. Two sticks of celery with two medium sized cooked beetroot, with green salad to appetite and one sliced red pepper. Season with black pepper to taste, No salt! - No dressing!
Follow with one quarter of the melon and at least one pint of water.
You may find that you will have to take time to eat such a volume of food, so eat slowly. It is ok to split this large meal, say half at noon and half at 1400 hours.
Two hours later, eat the rest of the melon and one pint of water.
Day One - Meal Three (Dinner): Very lightly cook the following vegetables; broccoli, carrots, green peppers and asparagus, add black pepper and garlic to taste. Dice one skinless boneless breast of chicken (or 8ozs of lean turkey breast) add black pepper and spices, chilli or curry powder and one tablespoon of water.
Cook on high heat in an open pan for few minutes until cooked right through and eat immediately, but slowly, with the vegetables.
Drink one pint of water with the meal.
Day Two - Meal One: As day one
Day Two - Meal Two: As on day one, plus add one quarter of a medium size onion and one teaspoonful of cider vinegar and lemon juice.
Day Two - Meal Three:Can be the same as day one. You can substitute the chicken with steamed white fish. (must not be oily fish!)
Day Three - Meal One: Take two Acceladrine© capsules before taking the walking exercise before drinking the skimmed milk. De-stem and fill a mug with seedless grapes (red or green is fine). Eat this amount every two hours throughout the morning and drink one pint of skimmed milk throughout the morning as well.
Try to drink half of one pint of water in between.
Day Three - Meal Two: Take two Acceladrine© capsules before the meal. Mixed Herb leaf salad, half of one Red and one Green sweet peppers and steamed white fish with lemon juice and black pepper. Drink one pint of water with meal.
Day Three - Meal Three: Two breasts of skinless boneless chicken and four florets of lightly steamed broccoli. One mug of grapes. One pint of skimmed milk.

Day Six Meal One: Take two Acceladrine© capsules, The previous evening, prepare and store in the refrigerator a quarter of a mug of porridge oats by soaking them in unsweetened pineapple juice* over night. Cover the oats well with juice as they will absorb a lot of fluid over night.
The following morning, add to the soaked porridge oats the pineapple chunks and a few slices of diced melon. Consume slowly and drink one pint of water. *Orange juice and orange segments can be used as a substitute if Pineapple is unavailable. Continue to eat the rest of the melon throughout the morning along with a further three pints of water in half pint amounts.
Day Six - Meal Two: Take two Acceladrine Capsules capsules. A green and herb leaf salad with beetroot, red peppers, garlic and onions soaked in cider vinegar and lemon juice, add black pepper to taste. Eat along with steamed white fish. Drink one pint of water.
Day Six - Meal Three: Dice and lightly cook (steam) mixed vegetables: French beans, broccoli, carrots, asparagus, beansprouts. Take half a pound of minced chicken or turkey breast. Dice one large onion, add 10ml (two teaspoonsfuls) of olive oil and one teaspoonful of plain flour and two teaspoonsfuls of tomato puree. Season with black pepper and a little salt,
Cook to seal meat, then add some mixed Indian spices and garlic. Add a little chicken stock and cook thoroughly for about 30 minutes. Ensure that the meat sauce does not finish up too sloppy - the meat needs to be coated but not swimming! Allow meat to settle for few minutes after cooking and then serve with the vegetables. Finish this meal with a dish of strawberries and 100% plain pure yoghurt -some so-called yoghurts are made with condensed milk and maize starch! Don't use these yoghurts during this regime - read the label before you buy! Real low fat yoghurt is also very low in carbohydrate and higher in protein.
Day Seven to Day Ten Depending on your total bodyweight, it may be desirable for some individuals to extend the regime to ten days.
If this is the case, for Day Seven use the Day One regime and work through each day as previously set out.
Taking vitamin C each day may be of benefit, particularly if you have a tendency to hold body fluid. Up to 500mg each morning with water.
Additional notes Should you find that you have slipped and consumed foods outside this regime or a fatty food. perhaps while out with friends and eat an unscheduled snack, don't panic! But just for these seven days we are confident that you have the self discipline to avoid this situation! Remember this is not only about weight loss, it is about a thorough detox also!
Note: as nutrients and some body waste matter is transported in the body (blood and lymphatic fluid) by fluid, it is therefore essential in any detox regime to drink plenty of fluids, preferably plain water. If, like me, you're not very partial to drinking too much plain water, it is ok to add a little fruit juice. (Unsweetened! ) Quite obviously during this seven-day regime you should experience a significant increase in the volume and perhaps frequency of urination. If not, cease consumption of the fluid levels recommended here immediately and consult a doctor without delay.
