L-Cysteine HCl

Also known as Cysteine, this is a semi-essential, sulphu bearing, amino acid present in protein that is an important component of hair, nails and the keratin of the skin. Cysteine is considered conditionally essential because it can be made internally in sufficient amounts under normal circumstances, but dietary supplementation may be needed if physical demands on the body (physical exercise, stress, etc.) become too much.

L-cysteine performs several functions in the body, and it is of great importance in the manufacture of L-taurine and L-glutathione. Taurine is important because it plays an integral role in maintaining healthy central nervous system (CNS) function. Taurine also assists in regulating healthy blood pressure, helps maintain good vision and eye function, and aids in both thermogenesis (fat burning) and muscle building.

L-Cysteine hydrochloride supplies hydrochloric acid, a naturally occurring stomach acid that helps break up fats and proteins for quicker digestion in the small intestine. Stomach acid also helps make the absorption of nutrients through the walls of the intestines easier so it can go into the blood and delivered where it is needed.

EDTA

EDTA is a substance which removes undesirable metals from the body. Many metals, including lead, mercury, and cadmium are poisonous to the body. Lead and cadmium levels are directly correlated with high blood pressure. EDTA is a chemical compound that binds minerals and metals like chromium, iron, mercury, copper, aluminum, nickel, zinc, calcium, cobalt, manganese, and magnesium to have them removed from the body so as for them to not have any adverse effects on the individual.
