Introducing a new skin care product from Sweden, Dermyn Active Serum with Tricutan works on all skin levels by increasing cell contraction in the epidermis, improving the fibre structure in the dermis and stimulating the facial muscles. Dermyn revolutionises treatment of aging and sagging skin by increasing muscle tone, strengthening skin fibre structure and increasing cellular contraction.Dermyn Active Serum with Tricutan will make your skin's appearance smoother, firmer and more youthful.Products with a rejuvenating effect on facial skin are usually thought to reduce wrinkles or pigment spots. However, it is equally important to stop the skin from sagging and to increase skin firmness. To do that, it is essential to go down deeply and treat all skin layers.Tricutan Complex in Dermyn Active Serum contracts the keratinocytes (cells) on the skin surface, strengthens the fibre structure (collagen and elastine) in dermis (the deeper skin layer) and increases facial muscle contraction.Dermyn Active Serum helps strengthen all skin layers resulting in a natural face-lift.
Dermyn - As seen on NBC TV in the US. Watch the video below for details on the product:
Most anti-aging treatments only work on the skin surface. The skin surface consists of dead cells. With different treatments, it is possible to make the skin look younger - temporarily. This can be achieved by using peeling creams or different fruit acids. In that way, the skin will have more lustre and look healthier. Another method is to use moisturizers, i.e. fats and oils and substances that bind moisture such as glycerine. By softening cells on the skin surface the effect will be smoothening and somewhat rejuvenating.
The problem is that these methods only work on the skin surface. In addition, they do not have any effect on skin firmness. A dull and grey skin surface is certainly not the only sign of aging but also skin firmness and elasticity. Dermyn Active Serum with Tricutan Complex, a complex that has been tested clinically by Swedish doctors, increases the contraction of the cells on the skin surface. In addition, Dermyn strengthens the fibre structure in deeper skin layers as well as increases the contraction of facial muscles.
In the dermis, there are fibre structures that give the skin its elasticity and firmness. The fibre structure consists, for the most part, of collagen and elastine. When we are young, the regenerative processes in the skin dominate, hence giving the skin a youthful and glowing appearance.
As we grow older, natural aging processes in the body in combination with external factors such as UV radiation, smoking and stress, destroy the balance and the fibre structure breaks down.
Tricutan Complex contains a completely new and unique combination of active substances of natural origin. Tricutan Complex increases firmness and elasticity by reducing destructive processes and instead stimulating new production of elastine and collagen. The amount and quality of elastine and collagen in the skin thus increases.
With less break down and more regenerative processes, the skin will once again be young, healthy and more elastic.
Facial muscles are fixed to the skin and not to the bones, as in other parts of the body. When the facial muscles go slack and sagging, the skin begins to sag as well as the skin that is fixed to the muscles. Contracted muscles contribute to a firm and elastic skin.
When the facial skin is sagging it is consequently not only because of the skin giving in to gravitation but the muscles losing their tone. With a face-lift, the plastic surgeon does not stretch the skin but fixes the muscles in a different position, resulting in a tightening effect.
Why do muscles lose their tone with increased age? Muscles contract as the brain sends out signals via the nerves. The muscles contract as the nerve ends emit chemical substances, neurotransmitters. With aging, production of neurotransmitters decreases.
The signals reaching the muscles are therefore not strong enough for the muscles to contract. The result is slack muscles and a sagging skin.
Recent research has shown that it is possible to treat skin firmness by increasing the amount of neurotransmitters in the facial muscles. The Tricutan Complex in Dermyn Active Serum contains substances that stimulate the body's own production of neurotransmitters. By stimulating production of neurotransmitters locally in the skin, it is consequently possible for the body to produce more neurotransmitters where it is needed - in the facial muscles.
By using Dermyn Active Serum with Tricutan Complexyou can get a natural face-lift.
This is because Tricutan Complex, as described above, treats skin firmness on three levels:
- On the skin surface by increasing cellular contraction
- In dermis by building up the fibre structure that increases firmness and elasticity
- In the facial muscles by increasing their contraction
As many as 8 out of 10 people see visible results 45 minutes after application. The result is improved with continuous treatment.
Three studies have been conducted on Dermyn; one study ispublished.
M. Lagerhorn, U. Starlander, Adderma AB
Pilot study on facial serum, containing Tricutan, and its short-time effect on skin firmness
19 women between 33-65 years. In the study, a digital imaging system (VISIA) was used which can evaluate skin quality by measuring factors such as skin roughness, pore enlargement and pigment spots beneath the skin surface. A small dot was marked on the cheek of subjects below the eye. Immediately after application the subjects were photographed using VISIA. A new photograph was taken after 45 minutes. Changes in dot position were then compared in order to evaluate possible influence on skin firmness and lift. The study showed significant and visible benefits from the Dermyn. On 15 out of 19 subjects, the dot moved upwards within just 45 minutes of application. The result is presented in the graph beside. The horizontal axis shows the decrease in dot – eye corner distance; the vertical axis shows the number of subjects presenting either of the changes in distance.

Report on a randomized, controlled, split-face study on the clinical efficacy and tolerability of a cosmetic gel related to facial skin firmness
The second study, written up as a “Report on a randomized, controlled, split-face study on the clinical efficacy and tolerability of a cosmetic gel related to facial skin firmness,” by Harry Beitner, M.D., Ph.D, Department of Dermatology, Karolinska University Hospital, included 33 women between 33-75 years. The clinical evaluations took place at the start of the study and after 4, 8 and 12 weeks of treatment. The subjects used the active gel used in Dermyn on one side of the face and a control gel on the other side of the face. The subjects did not know which one was the active gel in the treatment. After 12 weeks the result showed statistically significant improvement in skin firmness on the side treated with the active gel. The median improvement on the active side was 75% and 0% on the non-active side. No side-effects were noted. The dermatological-allergological test was passed with the rating “very good” and the tolerance of the product can also be rated as very good.

Randomised, placebo-controlled, double blind, split-face study on the clinical efficacy of Tricutan on skin firmness
(Published in Phytomedicine, International Journal of Phytotherapy and Phytopharmacology, Volume 14 ,2007)
The third study, entitled “Randomized, vehicle-controlled, double blind, split-face study on the clinical efficacy of a serum containing Tricutan on sagging skin,” by B. Sommerfeld, M.D, Specialist in Dermatology, included 25 women between 34-67 years. This study was in three parts: self-assessment, clinical assessment and a reviscometer measurement. The clinical evaluations took place at the start of the study, and after 4 weeks of treatment. The active gel was used on one side of the face and a control gel on the other side of the face. The subjects did not know which was which in the treatment. The result on the facial side treated with the active gel in the self-assessment part showed that 64% of the women were improved and 32% were very improved. In the clinical assessment 86% were significant improved and the reviscometer measurement showed significant improvement with the active gel as well.
