Kelp is a variety of seaweed, known to botanists as the long-frond brown algae. It is a rich source of vitamins and minerals that is reported to be particularly beneficial to brain tissues and is helpful for slow metabolism and excess weight.
The main activity of Kelp lies with its iodine content. Iodine is an important component of thyroid hormones, which play a major part in regulating the body's metabolism. Increasing the iodine available to the body will increase the level of activity in the thyroid gland, raising the body's general metabolism. Kelp also contains substances known as alginates. These molecules have the unique property of being able to absorb onto the surfaces of heavy metals, radioactive substances and organic molecules such as cholesterol, preventing their assimilation into the body.
Suggested Use : Take 1 to 3 tablets daily, preferably with meals.

Additional advice: Kelp is not advised for anyone with high blood pressure, kidney disorders or thyroid conditions. It should not be taken by anyone with an allergy to iodine.
